Guardians, others call on regulators at Air Quality Control Commission Meeting

At February 20th’s Colorado Air Quality Control Commission meeting, Guardians and dozens of environmental and health groups called on state leaders to move more quickly and aggressively to confront the climate crisis, consistent with Colorado’s state law.

HB 19-1261, which was signed into law last year, sets goals of reducing statewide greenhouse gas emissions. But Colorado is greatly off-course when it comes to meeting these goals—threatening the health and safety of its residents.

Members of the coalition delivered a joint group letter calling on the Polis administration to take immediate steps to reduce emissions.
