Forover 30 years Telluride MOUNTAINFILM has been dedicated to educating andinspiring audiences about issues that matter, cultures worth exploring,environments worth preserving, and conservations worth sustaining. MOUNTAINFILM on Tour Inspires us– it informs us; it challenges us; it makes us laugh; it even makes us cry; it makes as mad as hell, and above all, it shows us the power of film tochange the world.
WildEarthGuardians resumes its host relationship with MOUNTAINFILM in what promises tobe a bold, creative, entertaining and important evening of film. Screening a mix of filmsthat will cover vast territory, from mountain sports to endangered speciesconsciousness, WildEarth Guardians’ program will appeal to people of all typeswho enjoy good film and thoughtful story.
WildEarthGuardians adds a suprising new element this year, which is a hometown shortfilm competition. WildEarthGuardians invites locals to submit a short film no more than 3 minutes inlength that covers an issue for which WildEarth Guardians is advocating. The winning film will be screenedduring the film festival at the Lensic.
