Community hearings around the country provide opportunity for public commentary

April 25, 2019

Despite requests from the public and even members of Congress, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has refused to schedule any public hearings around the Trump administration’s proposal to end Endangered Species Act protections for gray wolves. Therefore, wolf advocates are holding our own community hearings to make sure citizens have the opportunity to speak!

Verbal and written comments at each hearing will be submitted to the Service during the official public comment period, which closes May 14.

The community hearings already scheduled are:

Denver – Monday, April 29 – 6:30 p.m.

Sacramento – Thursday, May 2 – 5 p.m.

Portland – Monday, May 6 – 5:30 p.m.
